This week’s drops:
🍋 You are your word — how keeping promises to yourself protects your power
🍋 What is fear, really? A future that feels like it's already here
🍋 Why I’m choosing tap water over plastic bottles now
💛 1. You Are Your Word
There’s a power in doing what you say you’ll do.
Whether it’s showing up on time, finishing a task, or simply following through on what you told yourself this morning—we build integrity with every promise we keep. And when we don’t? We chip away at our own trust.
I’ve been reflecting on how often we give away our power—not to other people, but by not honoring our word. Every time we break a promise to ourselves, we signal that our needs or commitments don’t matter as much.
But each moment is a chance to reclaim that power. Starting small- one promise; one follow-through. The shift can be felt.
👁️ 2. The Shape of Fear
I heard this perspective this week:
Fear is imagining something unwanted in the future… and living like it’s already happened.
It’s a mental time-travel that tricks the body into reacting as if the threat is real and present. Our nervous system can’t tell the difference between what’s vividly imagined and what’s truly happening.
This insight reminds me to pause when fear arises. Is this happening now? Or am I rehearsing something that hasn’t come to pass?
Mindfulness invites us back to the present—not to bypass fear, but to loosen its grip. To remind ourselves: I am here. I am safe. I am not my projections.
💧 3. Why I’m Choosing Tap Water Now
Recently, I’ve made a small but meaningful switch: if I am out without my own stainless steel water bottle, and I need to drink water- I’m choosing tap water over plastic bottles.
It started when I read more about microplastics—tiny particles that leach into water from plastic containers. Studies are beginning to show their presence in our blood, our organs, even the placentas of newborns.
It was enough to make me pause.
Choosing tap water isn’t always convenient—but it feels better. It’s a way to care for my body, and our planet, in one simple decision.
Have a wonderful weekend,
With love,
It is so amazing that I read it few times. I even printed for one of my patients who needed to work on her anxiety.
Love reading your posts. Love you so much.
